A free pass

Time flies when you’ve nothing to do and you spend your days watching episode after episode of The Good Wife. Before you notice you’ve gone through three seasons in as many weeks and will have to scrounge looking for new shows to watch. Or get a life.

I’ve given myself a free pass for the month of May. That was the plan when I looked at the year ahead and set out monthly goals. May was the month of doing nothing, just getting through, passing my L plates of motherhood, and enjoying every moment with Jack.

The Good Wife has been keeping me company through feed times. Six daily feeds gives me about six episodes a day. Forty minutes each. Jack feeds quick, fifteen minutes of feeding and about twenty minutes of burping and cuddling. The little routine has been working well for us it’s also been keeping me in my pajamas most days of the week unless I prearrange to meet a friend for coffee or a walk.

One more week of lounging around and being lazy. Yes. Lazy with a capital L.
