  • Do you ever feel blocked? You know you want to do something but when push comes to shove you feel like there’s a wall standing before you. You want to act and move forward with your goal but there’s an invisible barrier getting in the way. I have that at the moment with my writing and it’s driving me insane. I want to write, I have dozens of ideas flourishing in my mind that I would like to blossom but none have come to fruition. It’s like my brain saying, yeah you could do this but I’m not going to let you. What’s up with that?

  • It feel so good to get back to training. After last week’s bout of flu my body was not willing to be pushed. The 4km I did on Tuesday left me exhausted but fortunately today felt much better so I’m a little less anxious about next week’s race. It still amazes me how quickly the body can improve as well as deteriorate in fitness.
Sunny weekend ahead!
  • Three day weekend coming up. Yay. That means I get to sleep in (that means getting up between 7am-8am), spend more time outdoors and do whatever I please. So tomorrow I hope to hit the pool, hang out in a cafe writing and shop for my brother’s bday pressie (I can’t believe he’s already 26, I still picture him as teen) before heading out to dinner with the family. Then, hopefully on Sunday we’re going to head down to Byron Bay, check out the markets and go for a walk to the lighthouse and maybe catch a glimpse of humpback whales (the season for them is starting here), and of course the weekend won’t be complete without a long run along the beach. Bliss.
