Week In Review: Going Slow

Family arrived from Poland yesterday and it was a busy day filled with driving around, walking and eating. Having a family get together without food just wouldn’t be right.

Then we took them to the beach for a walk. Just a little one to get them some Vitamin D – after all they did just arrive from below zero temperatures and snow. So we walked. Slowly.

Me and slow walking are not good friends. By the time we returned to the car the backs of my legs and my lower back were less then impressed. A power walk yes please. It’s energising but a slow one…OMG…it’s torture for me.

It was a good Monday though. I even managed to wake up at 4am to do some yoga before heading for the airport to pick them up.

Quick Sugar Update
6 days I made it. Then on the seventh day we had friends over for a BBQ I made a cake which had honey in it and some cupcakes with butter icing. I didn’t even want to resist, especially on the cupcakes although I made them because I know how much my friend’s son enjoys them.
