Cruise Recap

Last week I had the time of my life. Spending seven days on a ship in the middle of the South Pacific was an amazing and relaxing experience. I was excited to be going but also a little nervous about the trip. I had never been at sea nor had I ever travelled with the friends I was travelling with. My worries were laid to rest immediately. We all had a fantastic time and wished the trip hadn’t ended so soon. I’d like to be back on the ship sipping Singapore Slings, lounging by the pool and going to Sports Trivia in the evenings before a sit down dinner and show. I even managed to fit in a few quick runs in the ship’s gym, swim in beautiful Lifou and run up, down the ship’s stairs every day, go crazy on the dance floor and indulge in a bit of duty free shopping.

Rocking the dance floor and enjoying a few too many cocktails.

Last night at dinner sharing a photo with our lovely waiters – they made dinner each night exceptional

Endless water views – it was so relaxing to see nothing but sea

Indulging in three – four course meals each night for dinner
Yummy desserts for breakfast, lunch and dinner – it was hard to resist and to be honest I didn’t bother trying 🙂

I have to say I am completely relaxed. A week was definitely not enough but even Monday morning at work I felt as if I didn’t have a care in the world. I know this feeling isn’t going to last but I’m going to enjoy it while it’s here. I’m back to training as of today and ready to start planning my next holiday even if it’s just a bit of day dreaming.

  1. Sounds like a far cry from Poland! I’ve often wondered about cruise ships, if it’s possible to really have a fun holiday but looks like it is – good luck with your other post above on settling back into reality afterwards.

  2. I was hesitant at first too but I have to say it was amazing – although having fun travel buddies helps too. I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face from start to finish. Highly recommend it!
