Random Saturday

*Knees. Mine have been hurting during the last few runs. I feel a pain at the top of my left knee, and on the outside and lower part of my right knee after about ten minutes of running. I don’t like it. In fact, I’m pissed off about it – extremely. So I’ve taken a few days off from running and will focus on doing weights, Pilates and stretching. I’ll get back to running (slowly) on Monday or Tuesday – hopefully minus the pain.

*Wine. I love it. Red, half dry. Cabernet. Last night I drank too much though. My friend came over for dinner and we ended up drinking three bottles of red. When conversation flows, the wine tastes better and goes down like water. Now I’m paying for it with a slight hangover. Note to self for next time: stick to two or three glasses max and alternate with water.

*Jewellery. I love it. Especially rings. Diamond rings. Tanzanite rings. Actually pretty much every coloured stone set in white or yellow gold. I’ve spent a good hour today browsing online catalogues for the perfect one or two or three or so. While my budget has no room for diamonds or tanzanite right now I can at least please the eye.

There’s one ring that I found which I have to drool all over when I pass it sitting amongst the rest of the jewels in the shop window.

*Uni. I should be finishing my assignment about the issue of cyberspace regulation and starting another one on ICT’s and globalisation but my brain is incapable of forming a coherent thought – so the 3000 word essay is going to have wait a few more hours. Looking at gorgeous rings requires less effort.

*Tea. I’m drinking a lot of it today – black or with lemon and honey. Yummy. It cures the sweet tooth and the hangover. I’ve had four half litre cups already and it’s only lunchtime.

What’s on the list for you this Saturday?

  1. It’s not good that you feel pain while running – I hope that it will pass soon.
Our Saturday was quite OK – Finally I had my hair coloured 🙂 My kids spent 2 hours with me at the Hairdresser and they behaved well. Even Konrad who is an active man 🙂
At the lunch time we visited my mother and we spent a few nice hours sitting around the table with my aunts and cousins.
Now it’s 9 but I’m still thinking about riding on the bike, I should ride a few km… so lets do it 🙂 How nice that next free day is approaching:)

  2. Is that the ring you drool over? Because I don’t blame you! It’s gorgeous!

Sorry to hear about the pain while running. 🙁
