Run = Happy

The last thing I felt like doing tonight was go running.

I ran anyway.

Forty-five minutes later my mood changed from sad to happy.

Whether you believe it or not, running can turn a crappy day into a good one. A few kilometres of pounding the pavement is all it takes to boost serotonin levels and feel happier.

Today was just one of those days. Everything made me want to cry. All I wanted to do was hide in a dark spot and disappear. Running was the better option. It nearly always is.
