Gratitude

Thanksgiving Day in America today. I’m not American but I like the idea of Thanksgiving – it’s such a positive holiday. Saying thanks and being grateful for all the wonderful things we are blessed with is not common, nor is it something most of us are aware of. Gratitude is one of those emotions that… Read More

Great Run + Publishing Credit = Good Day

Had an awesome run today – on the treadmill – which I didn’t expect. The intention was to do intervals – 1200, 800, 600, 400, 200 – with a 15 minute warm up and 15 minute cool down. I did the warm up and intervals and found I had lots of energy. Since I get… Read More

Warsaw’s XXII Independence Day Run

Yesterday, I ran the XXII Independence Day Run in Warsaw. All round the day was great – fun, exhausting and successful. I managed to finish with a time of 49:39. What I was even more excited about was my significant other finished with a PR of 44:08.

Annihilating the stress demon

I woke up this morning feeling like I had been hit by truck sometime during the night. Opening my eyes was a struggle; I didn’t even want to consider get out of bed. Luckily, on Wednesdays I work from home so I allowed myself a sleep in – till 8am. At 9am I had breakfast… Read More

The heel that broke my day

The day started out well – a healthy breakfast, full TELF class which rarely happens, scored a box of Belgium chocolates from one of my students, and picked up my chip and shirt for ‘Bieg Niepodległości’ (Independence Day Run), which takes place this Thursday on the streets of Warsaw. Even though I got lost and… Read More
