Blog Award – 7 Things

Thanks to Su from Cheekyness for giving me this award – a lovely surprise when I switched on the computer this sunny winter morning.

Coming with seven things that people don’t know about me –

1 – My parents, brother and I moved to Australia with four suitcases and no English back in 1991.

2 – I changed the course of my study from business to criminology to journalism and finally finished with a Bachelor of Business in Economics and Marketing.

3 – I have a weakness for Lindt chocolate balls – dark, milk, white, hazelnut – yummy. During Easter and Christmas time I can eat them to the point of being ill.

4 – I love to eat. When it comes to pasta or curry I can eat two or three extra large servings in a row.

5 – I’ve been writing since fourth grade where I had to write and illustrate a children’s book for a class project. It was called ‘The Magic Tree’. Then, came a stint of teenage angst poetry that makes me cringe when I look back on it.

6 – I love languages. I’m trying to teach myself to speak German and Spanish, and soon would like to tackle Chinese Mandarin.

7 – For a couple years in primary school I swam competitively and trained five to eight times a week. Unfortunately, I gave it up for stupid things as a young teen – still kicking myself for it.

If you’re reading, I look forward to hearing seven things about you!

  1. I’m with you on the Lindt chocolates… and the pasta… and the curry… just food in general, I guess. 🙂

I love languages, too, but I’m a bit lazy about them! I have English and conversational Spanish, and bits of Scots Gaelic and French.

And a ‘bucket list’ is the things you’d like to do before you ‘kick the bucket’, that is, before you die.

  2. ‘Bucket list’ that’s an interesting way of putting it – also more positive. I guess I have one of those lists but it’s called ‘all the things I want to do before I turn 30 or 35’.
