Challenge Yourself

Run To The Finish is one of my favourite sites about running and healthy living. In 2012, there were some great monthly challenges to take part in including 30 min of yoga among others. While the habit didn’t stick for more than the month it made me realise how fabulous yoga is for the body.

In 2013, Run To The Finish is starting the year off with a bang with the 5 Minute Golden Mornings Challenge. For all the information on the challenge go to Run To The Finish.

Run To The Finish

5 Minute Golden Mornings. Doesn’t sound like much. Everyone can find five minutes first thing in the morning. While it does sound easy, I am forgetful, many of us are forgetful, and the first week or so will require a conscious effort to keep the 5 minutes each morning going.

Every morning in January 2013, I am embarking on doing more yoga and meditation. One of my goals for this year is to make yoga and meditation a daily habit, even if it’s only 5 minutes per day because that’s all I can spare. This is the perfect challenge to get started on achieving this goal. So, upon waking, I am going to do the five minutes of meditation before I do anything else. Hopefully, I can follow it up with a Sun Salutation sequence focusing on good form and breathing.

What can you do for 5 minutes each morning to make yourself feel better for the rest of the day?
Check out’s Run to the Finish for more information on the challenge.

This year is going to be full of challenges. Bring it on!

At work a couple of girls and I are doing the 50 day no sugar challenge starting 2nd January too. I’ve even motivated my mum and Jarek to get on board too which will make the challenge a heck of a lot easier. It’s always so much better to have a support crew when embarking on a challenge to eliminate nasty food. Sugar is so so so bad for you but chocolate is so so so delicious. It’s 50 days. It’s doable. It’s gonna be done. No excuses. More about this one later.

Now it’s time for the New Year’s Eve festivities. Have a fabulous night whatever you might be doing and wherever you might be!

  1. Kasiu, 50 dni bez cukru, czyli bez słodyczy 🙂 podejmuje to wyzwanie razem z wami:)

  2. To super!! Dzis bede pisac zasady ktorych spruboje sie trzymac 🙂
