The Next Four Weeks

I’ve been thinking a lot about how my training is going to look now that I’m working full time. The last time I worked 8:30 – 5:00 Monday to Friday was like four years ago. I can’t wait to start but it’s going to take a little adjusting. So, to start things off the training during the week is going to be easy although on most days I will be training twice a day – if I don’t do a morning session I will make it up in the evening; if I know I won’t have time to train in the evening I’ll wake up earlier and complete the session in the morning or on my rest day. The weekends are for long sessions and swimming. Unfortunately, the local pool doesn’t open till 5:30am which is too late for me to fit in a swim before work and it closes at 7pm which is about the time I’d be getting home from work. For now, I’ll be swimming once per week, when it gets warmer I’ll include one open water swim as well.

  1. Organised! I’m impressed with your dedication. I’m conintually making plans and having to adjust them especially in the evenings. I start late at the moment so mornings are becoming my main training time. Good luck!

    Morning workouts are great, you’re lucky to have the time to fit them in. I know I’m going to be struggling and juggling to fit it all in.
